Welcome Volunteers! This site has been created to assist and enhance your volunteer experience with the Humane Society of Fairfax County. The information posted here will allow you to review upcoming opportunities, track and submit your hours of service, keep abreast of organizational news and communicate with your volunteer peers.

HSFC recognizes that our strength and ability to continue serving the community successfully lies in our volunteer corps. Please know that we are immensely grateful to each and every volunteer for whatever time or talent you are able to offer to us so that we can continue our mission. Interested in volunteering? Please visit the Forms page and download the appropriate application. Upon receipt of your completed and signed application and agreement, the documents will be processed and you will receive a welcome packet via email. The packet will include instructions on how to schedule your orientation and begin volunteering. NOTE: Submitting your application and agreement is the required first step on the path to volunteering. *** Underage volunteers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during all service hours. Minimum age of 15 for student volunteers - suggested activities for youth volunteers under age 15 can be found on our Kids' page.

*** STUDENTS AGE 15 AND OLDER: IF YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING BECAUSE YOU NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS FOR SCHOOL, WE MUST KNOW THIS IN ADVANCE. Thank you.
